About the event
If you struggle with overwhelming emotions and tend to cope with emotions in ways that are destructive or unhelpful, this class is the first in a series of skill building classes focused on teaching participants skills for coping with emotions in a manner that can lead to decreased negative emotional experiences and can even increase positive emotional experiences. Mindfulness skills are central to emotion regulation skills and will be taught over the course of four 90-minute sessions. Participants who sign up for mindfulness will learn to attend to and focus their attention on the inner and outer world without judgment and in a non-attached, yet not overly dismissive manner.
